I have worked as a freelance designer for the National Geographic Society Books Division and for Island Press.
The Promotions Department of the National Geographic Society hired me on an extended contract to design direct mail packages. I also created marketing products while on staff at the Smithsonian Institution.
For the Smithsonian Institution, I designed exhibit signage ten Smithsonian Folklife Festivals. As a subcontractor, I design National Park Service wayside panels for McKnight Design LLC.
I have designed educational products for the Smithsonian Institution and the National Geographic Society.
As an artist, I have worked to develop my drawing and painting skills. Over the years, I used those skills to create both editorial and scientific illustrations.
Throughout my career, I have always embraced new technologies. I am currently developing my skills in web site design. Both this web site and my fine art web site were created from the bottom up by hand coding the html, creating all the visuals, and managing the web sites.
